Where are you from?
Born in Brooklyn raised in New Jersey! Everyone thinks I’m Italian but I’m Polish, Russian, Hungarian and Jewish! (Italians and Jews both talk with their hands) lol
What’s your favorite music to listen to?
I have a very eclectic taste in music. My playlist jumps from Ella Fitzgerald and Otis Redding to broadway show tunes, then to 90s R and B and fast rap, hip hop and old school rap from all different times and artists. I love music and I just go with what feels right in the moment.
What does success mean to you?
I am still answering this question everyday. Is it a fancy car or is it a hot shower and a bed? Is it money I want or just to be a very busy bee and work really hard. I got lost for a bit in a place where I thought money was the answer to this question. Now I believe it is something much greater that money can never and will never buy. Success is to be happy, to be strong, to keep moving forward regardless of the obstacles. To let yourself be the best version of you and apply it everyday! Money will be made, but it is not the true key to success for me.
How do you stay focused on your life goals?
Staying focused is a lifelong lesson. Some days it seems impossible to focus and some days I am perfectly focused on what I have to do. I try to wake up everyday and be aware of what it is I want to achieve that day, what is necessary and what is not. Managing my time accordingly and staying organized help a lot with getting anything you want to get done in a day, week or year. Exercise and a healthy breakfast often lead the day into a productive zone where tasks get completed. The most important thing is not to let the negative thoughts that everyone has in their mind, stop you from achieving your goals. If you tell yourself you can’t, you won’t. So tell yourself, I absolutely can, and then get to work!
If you could inspire someone who may doubt their dreams, what would you say to encourage them?
I want to make this my life practice. I love to model but inspiring people is my passion. When someone doubts their dreams I don’t just bark at them to believe and then run. Not everyone knows how to believe in themselves and I understand it. Sometimes the hardest part of any project is just the idea of, “I can’t do this, it’s too hard” and I’ve done this to myself many times. But I would tell them what I learned, if you believe you can’t, you simply won’t. You often won’t even try because of the fear of failure. I would say, fail once, twice, ten times. Keep trying, keep failing, and keep succeeding, because you will. This is after I break down actions they can take to build on their business, passion, lifestyle and explaining that it is not going to be easy, but nothing worth having in life will be easy. I’ve done this many times with friends and people I’ve worked with and I realize it’s my favorite thing to see someone light up and work harder to their goals, all with a little push to believe they can do it, but if you’re reading this, you can do it. Give yourself a fighting chance.
If you could have one wish come true, what would it be and why?
I used to wish for happiness every year on my birthday cake. I thought happiness was something you could just wish for with out understanding the meaning or putting in the actions to make yourself happy. Now my wish is just to wake up everyday and be grateful for all that I have and stay consistent with work and gratitude. It is easy to complain, easy to whine about what you don’t have, but I don’t want easy. I want truth, honesty, and inner strength to make my bday wish a forever truth. To be happy and productive, is all I want.
